gastronomijaOur food preparation philosophy has found its base in the lives of our wise forefathers who have showed us the secrets of the trade – we prepare domestic ingredients of superior quality and freshness in traditional ways which celebrate the natural taste of a fresh ingredient and, on one hand, its simplicity, and on the other hand, the fullness of taste and aroma. Despite many intrenational dishes, our guests have recognised, and as their favourite, selected the dishes, that are entirely created as per our culinary philosophy – grilled lamb liver with cottage cheese and sour cream, oven baked pancakes with marmelade and cheese, kotlovina, Jaškovo stew…



A hobby of the owner, Ivan Žganjer – making products of traditional butchering (kolinje), that is, the created delicacies, have become inevitable hors d’oeuvre. Enjoy in an almost forgotten taste of real homemade sausages, ham, buđola and bacon. The animals are bred on our estate in Jaškovo and are fed exclusively on natural food. The products are processed manually in our own slaughterhouse, following our family recipes over 100 years old and dried in our own kiln. Kolinje is eagerly awaited at the restaurant Žganjer.


Our old-fashioned strudel with apples, cheese and sour cherries is an unavoidable dessert and one of our most famous restaurant products. Even today, it is still made by spreading the dough over the whole tabletop surface, as we were showed by or grandmother Dora a few decades ago. In addition to the three standard flavours, we also prepare seasonal combinations with grapes grown on the Ozalj-Vivodina wine road, with pears, plums, blackberries, walnuts …


Each of the 50 selected Croatian wineries and winemakers of the Ozalj-Vivodina wine road (Vrbanek, Šoštar, Frlan) on our winelist agrees with our dishes, and there is one wine which, due to its characteristics, stands out. The wine of the winehouse Gramusch is a unique blend of taste and aroma of Riesling, Muscat and Chardonnay, an acclaimed wine product of the Žabčić family which complements our dishes in a special way.
